In-12, 4 pp. booklet, laid paper cover.

Extremely rare publication of the verse epistle read at the Théâtre de Lille to celebrate the birth and christening of Henri d'Artois (1820-1883), Count of Chambord, Legitimist pretender to the thrones of France and Navarre.
It is signed by Auguste de Trémault, probably Auguste-François de Trémault (1788-1866), who was mayor of Vendôme, as were three other members of his family.

Handwritten letter from the author to Jean-Baptiste Joseph de Muyssart (1753-1848), then mayor of Lille.
A colorful royalist politician and mayor of Lille from 1815 to 1830, Comte de Muyssart celebrated his investiture by having Jacques-Louis David's portrait of the First Consul, which belonged to the city, burned in a public square. The fall of the Bourbon dynasty during the July Revolution put an end to his political career. He resigned from his municipal functions, and thereafter abstained from any involvement in local politics. From the collections of Louis Quarré-Reybourbon, with label, and C.L. Ducas, with stamp.
